Actuarial Risk Management, Ltd. (“ARM”), a boutique actuarial and consulting firm with offices in Austin, Texas, and New York City, serves as the actuarial advisor to Cygnus LS. In that role, ARM provides all life settlement portfolio modeling, simulation and stress testing services required by Cygnus LS. ARM will interface directly with Cygnus’s CILS Division, the aggregator/provide for our financing program, in connection with the creation of the LS portfolios that support our LS-backed Bonds financing structures. In that role, ARM also provides a wide range of advisory services to Cygnus LS, including services related to the preparation of illustrative and other written materials used in connection with the offer and sale of the Bonds.
ARM is an independent member of the BDO (USA) Alliance program, and since 2006, ARM has served as the de-facto organization-wide actuarial staff to BDO, which is the 5th largest global accounting and consulting firm. ARM is led by its principal, Corwin (Cory) Zass, a skilled actuary and strategist with over 20 years of experience, and Managing Director, Harry Silverman, a senior tax specialist with over 40 years of experience, including service as a senior tax partner in the well-known international accounting firm Coopers. ARM, its management and internal staff, together with its regular network of consultants and experts includes more than 50 qualified consulting actuaries and numerous risk experts with an average of 25+ years of experience per person.
